Yeah Hobby could defintley be a part of this. The point of this whole thread is to make a storyline to link all the members on the board in one big plot.

As you said Doc. Strange, money is an always great motivator to some extent. He needs something materialistic too. Like new and improved weapons. So puppetmaster(is he going to be the one that makes vodoo dolls or something to have a full control over people???) is going to be the one behind all of this, but Hobby looks for more. Hobby needs something to have his hands on he would not by all himself. Anyway, seems interesting enough though.
Hey, Stark Hobby would break in your place soon enough to have your technological gadgets by force. He just loves annoying scientists.

Well, Doctor Doom or Magneto could make a machine that supers the super powers of people that have super powers. So, all the villains could all join up and be stupefied. And then all the heroes could join up too.

Well, we have plenty of ideas - five pages worth. Are we ready to start deciding or do we still want to keep searching?
I think the existing idea is pretty good, we just need like people have been saying a motivation for our super villain and a reason for the other villains to help him. Whatever the shadowy figures plot is, it has to be big. Anyway, I like the idea of a killing spree. It gives our villains that totally ruthless sadistic vibe that this isn't a game (uh... in Marvel world) and that they will show no mercy.
What does our supervillain have? Is he rich? Is he a super genius like Mrs. Marvel said and can give the villains weaponry or further mutations? Or is his plan so earth shattering that the villains have to join up with him to survive what comes?
It could be a simple matter of jealousy - everyone else has these superpowers and the main villain wants to even the playing field by taking them away - with a virus or something. Or would it be cool for him to have a personal vendetta against one hero or group of heroes? If he's killing telepaths/precogs/magicians is it because he is one of them and needs them to be wiped out so he can't be stopped?
Anyway, I like the idea of a twisted businessman type for the main villain. Not necessarily a tie-wearer but someone just so smooth and uncaring.

Well, I'm just using the term puppet master to indicate the person who is pulling all the strings. Heh heh. You have a good point though. So we'd just have to figure out what would be a good incentive for Hobby. Something occurs to me. If we could get a Doctor Doom (I don't believe we have one yet, do we?) I think he would be an ideal villain to orchestrate all this. Doom believes in a marriage between magic and science, so to speak. So he'd want to look at things from all angles - magical and otherwise - hence the deaths of low level sorcerers/diviners and others. Plus, he has no qualms about taking in henchmen. Doom also has many inventions, scientific or otherwise, that he could use to attract the attention of any multitude of villains. But. That's if we can get a Doom. As for Mags, well, he would -not- kill other mutants in cold blood. It goes against everything he believes in. I don't think he'd tie himself to it either. Only IF the payoff was big enough to warrant that kind of sacrifice, and he didn't have to see it himself, could I imagine him wanting to jump into it. Other options for a villain with motive and means .. would be.. Dormammu, Umar, or Baron Mordo. This sort of plot seems to fit their M.O. Speaking of M.O., Monica, would you perhaps be interested in playing any of these villains? =) If not, we have to figure out what else we can work with.

I like the idea of Doc Doom, Doc Strange.
He would fit very well.
I'm not so sure of Mags. He is one of those villains that totters between good and evil. He probably couldn't order the deaths of all those mutants just to further another plot.
I don't know anything about the other villains.

I'm not trying to annoy, but, I liked the idea of Super hero's losing their powers, Only, I think it would be neat if they were slowly disappearing, and if someone doesn't want to lose a power, I'm sure we could find some reason...BUT, that would open the door for all these villains to use that as a time to attack...So, Something like that, just little bits of powers being stripped away, slowly, and no one knows if all their powers will disappear eventually. And villains take advantage of that...
Anywho, it's an idea.

That sounds cool it could be if a villian with a power like Leach slowly absorbs everyones powers villians and Heroes alike but the heroes and villians start fighting each other because they each believce someone else is resposnible and Leach is in hiding because a whole lot of people want him dead.

I like this idea cause it brings back an earlier one and powers being halved might be beneficial for a while for some of the more tragically powered. And the idea of false leads and everyone accusing everyone could be fun.

I dunno if I like a "losing powers" thread moreover we just don't have the baddies for it. And to be honest, it's a bit of a cliche, what superhero tv show or comic can you think of that HASN'T done it?
..Few and far between.
The reason I proposed the Hulk idea is the current world war hulk storyline vilifies all Heroes. Which we have many of, specifically the "lead" ones that in the comic are the illuminati. Now I wouldn't go so far as to carbon copy the entire storyline, but perhaps one that vilifies a hero in a different way might be more the way to go, until we get villains to work with.

You need baddies? I could be a baddie... muhahaha.
No seriously, I could be either. Vulcan is kind of an 'above the world' kind of character. His power and being raised in an alien civilization gives him a superiority that could go either way, to good or bad.

toad can be bad and I'll take on Sandman if he isn't taken. That would give us a couple more bad guys.

According to my count - we have approx. 15 bad-guys. And about 24 active heroes. So we're not as bad off as we could be.
I am open to any ideas. We'll have fun whatever we pick.

We're going around in circles. We'll just have to accept that not everybody is going to agree on one storyline so we'll just have to pick one.
So no new ideas. Just say which of the ideas that has been posted do you prefer. And the favorite will be used and worked on. Then we can try a different one.
