OK. The Marvel RPG has kicked off now. We are started. Growing members. Now I think it's time for a storyline. Something that includes the whole site. You know. Just let's steer away from a Civil War. Not that I'm saying we'll never do one. Just not the first one. So any ideas.

I particularly like the idea thats behind World War Hulk. Our site doing our own original spin on that storyline would be interesting.

We could come up with a different reason for Hulk getting pissed off at some heroes. Then one thing could lead to another.

I like that maybe the villains messed with his mind somehow, and maybe only they have the cure that can stop him from rampaging. This would involve otherwise obscure heroes and villains to a storyline they otherwise might not have a place in.

I see. But there's not many villains on the board.

For the most part, Bloody and Pitbull aren't real shakers and movers. Mostly just small time really. Even the entire organization they belong to doesn't pose a threat really worthy of the higher tier heroes.
The two would definitely not have a problem with being the two bit thugs that work for the larger threat though.

What if we had all the villains controling Hulk somehow. So the heroes would have to fight with Hulk and the villains who teamed up?

The whole Hulk thing itself might not be a good idea. I'm sure you guys can come up with something that doesn't revolve around the Hulk.

Do we even have a Hulk right now? Anyway, if you guys go with this just make sure to post the basic idea/plotline so I don't get lost - I've never read Hulk.
But I like the idea of everyone having a part in some kind of epic. Alien Invasions are always good for this - but they get kind of tacky. And if we're going to have the villains be united against the heroes we need a charismatic strong and capable leader that isn't completely off his rocker. We'd have to find some villain like that and find someone to play him.
But this all sounds exciting!

Maybe we could come up with our own unique storyline then. Any ideas?

Well, you gotta have a villain with a plan...a big plan... If we can't find a good bad-guy, we could always make one. Personally Sylar from Heroes gives me the willies. We could steal some story from him...you know, taking heroes powers to become god-like or something.
If we can not do the takeover the world thing - that would be neat and different. I also like the stories where things are so incredibly bad that people have to survive just by their wits and guts. You know, no one likes them, no base of operations, constantly being attacked. That kind of stuff. Also the Morlock Massacre made a big impact on me (I mainly read X-Men) so maybe something unexpected and horrific would be cool.

The powers thing seems kinda cool. Where all the heroes would have to band together without their powers. And fight some mega villain. What do ye think?

I have plots that were never used on the site I helped make because the admin left it and I was stuck but any way here they are oh and its good to see you back online Fury. The only problem is that it contains non marvel characters but I'll change it. The Crusade of The Ironmen(Part 1): A group of terminally ill scientists create suits of Iron made to the same design as Tony Stark's. They begin to turn evil when a certain matieral they need to power their suit become unavailible to them so they head to Stark Tower and take over. A group of heroes aid Tony in an attempt to remove the crazy Ironmen. The Ironmen has convinced a villan to join them. The heroes must scale labrynth of Stark tower to reach the top where Tony is being held hostage.
Legacy of the Ironmen(Part 2): The Ironmen open a portal to another universe and alternate Superheroes and villans are sucked through. Unfortunately a whole Legion of Villans are brought through as well. All these new heroes and villans must learn to accept that there is no returning. The Portal closes as the last Ironman escapes in Tony's suit. Some villans stay and fight while others run aided by the villan who helped the Ironmen. Some Heroes stay and fight while others chase after the fleeing villans.
Showdown(Part 3): Beast and Mr. Fantastic figure out a way to return the villans that they have captured, the heroes that wish to return and go through to destroy the last Ironman. A time travelling villan steals Tony's suit and that combined with his time belt makes him a formibidle enemy. They him track down and render his belt useless for the time being and have a fight. The heroes return with not only Tony's suit but with timebelt which Reed uses to bring back fallen comrades.
(There are flaws in this plot because it was going to be used with marvel and DC characters.)

It needs some modification like you said but it is a good jumping off point. I've been thinking about great villains and I - personally - would like to see someone or some group that has made a decision to be evil. They have a reason. But they don't have an excuse - none of that "Someone ran over my dog - I had a tragic childhood - I was tricked" stuff. They cannot be reasoned with and they cannot be placated with promises of friendship and pyschiatric help. Also, I think we need someone to be Tony's equal - someone as intelligent, charismatic...like Dr. Doom is for Reed, but such a entity that he is not only a threat to Tony but can stand up to all Marvel heroes and make their blood go cold. He doesn't have to be unlimitedly powerful but he can takeon multiple characters and seem undefeatable.
Anyway, I was thinking a dynamic sort of like Khan and Capt. Kirk. (I'm a trekkie) They are equals but Khan has the edge that he can not only torment Kirk but also take on the rest of the crew. I mean, sure Khan had lackeys but they were kind of useless.
That's my idea but it can be tossed. I like this idea cause it's really not about ruling the world but about what someone can and is capable of doing when their life is threatened. And wouldn't Tony have helped if they'd just asked nicely? Probably. So it's their own dumb decision to storm the castle.
