Because of his (as in, the bosses') connections, he is able to live quite lavishly. There is no expense spared for his place of living. Big, with multiple large rooms to accommodate guests and habits of any kind. His place of living is furnished with expensive Italian imports, just like the built in bar, fully stocked with alchohol of nearly any taste. From the hard liquor, to softer, kinder wine.

There is quite a bit of traffic from his house, from people merely delivering him the stocks for his penthouse, to other...things. Of course, with the right application of words and money, no one knows the difference.
