The volumous gunclap fired the inch and a half tunnler of lead into his back and out his chest. His body dissipated as it passed, becoming a fine silk of black smoke which whipped slowly in the chill night air before being absorbed by it's center once again. He faced her. The dark glasses hiding black lit eyes pushed back into the bridge of his nose. He touched the black mark on his neck....
...Kali burns....
...and rubbed his sizzling neck. " Attagirl. I knew you'd take that shot. " He tossed her a grin. " Just for that, I'll let you in on a little secret. " His heels clicked as he stepped towards her. " You see, I'm not just some petty thug on the way to the top. I serve a higher purpose. I am the instrument of wrath. I will mark those unjust and vanish them into a wisp of fine soot. I am a vessel of the almighty destroyer and creator. I am Kali's sword. I am her staff and you...will suffer her wrath as all he unjust will. Heed my words. Repent. Judgement is coming. "
The darkness enveloped him. His skin turned into aa brittle chalk white as the shadows underneath him wrapped their fine arms around him, pulling him down to tartarus, to oblivion, to the dark place in the souls of men. Only his words hung in the air. " Judgement is coming....rejoice. ". Fine whispers like thin fog. Never really there at all, until finally and certainty they lay dying at ones feet.
and he was gone.

Mystique
She laughed.
Judgment. There was only Magnus's judgment.
This Shroud character was insane. The House would stand against deluded sapiens like him. He probably just went off the deep end in his religion. Kali was a goddess of some sort.
She replaced her gun and struggled to keep the grin off her face. She gave him less credit now, he obviously didn't live in the real world.
An Armageddon? When had that ever occurred? There had been a hundred false alarms in history and the word of one powerful lunatic wouldn't change that there was no gods to aide or destroy mutantkind.
Mystique turned away and headed back to base.

Elsewhere....
Toad had left Magneto's service he just didn't see the nessecity to enslave the human race and treat them like disposable McDonalds toys. He spent alot of his time harbouring the resistance against the tool's empire but when it came down to attacking and destroying he let the others do that for when it came down to it he was concerned about his daughter's life she was the daughter of one of the rebels. He and her mother had met during a battle and had fallen in love as he dragged her off the battlefeild when she lost a leg. She had been killed a year after Samantha had been born in a human killing because she was expected to be a rebel.
Toad cradled Samantha in his arms as he ran through the streets of New York and she cried as the secret police closed in he had never been so foolish in all his life, he had taken Sam to the park for a play on the swing but like everything else it was dangerous.

Rogue noticed a group of inept officers chasing a hunched mutant through the streets. From her hover-car, she could see he was carrying something.
"Stop here." Rogue said and dropped off the side of the the car. It was only a dozen feet to the cement and recently stolen powers - some cat-creature she'd absorbed - let her land on her feet without damage.
She flashed her rank and ID at the other officers and raced forward. Rogue quickly outdistanced the others and was only a few feet from the green skinned mutant.
"Shield Red Guard!" She shouted knowing the more prestigious title would frighten the mutant. "Get on the ground, now!"

Toad looked at Rogue "I couldn't care less." her said as he ran along, jumped up a wall and broke into an apartment. He was a little bit annoyed that Rogue was after him that would make things slightly harder he exited the apartment and entered another breaking out one window and smashing into the other buildings window he hoped to lose her. Samantha had begun to cry a wile back but they were near their home if they could just lose Rogue they would both be fine.
Toad wasn't the least bit concerned for himself it was just Sam he was worried about, he would have fought her but that would have put Sam at risk and that wouldn't do.

Post by Iron Man/Tony Stark on Nov 5, 2007 16:58:34 GMT -5
House of M: Iron Man Tony Stark exited his office building surrounded by the paparazzi and his personal guards keeping them back. Hmm. Well he had been lucky. After destroying those bombs that would've killed all those mutants, Tony Stark and Iron Man was a hero. But still he was a human hero. He would always be below the mutants, the homo superior, the next rung on the ladder. There were those that would always hate him. He reached the limbo and got in as a guard or assistant opened it for him. Tony had so many people around him he couldn't tell and he didn't care. Inside the limbo he poured himself a drink. It wasn't that bad though. He had his fans. Sapien Death Match was still going strong. But Tony was thinking of retiring from actually particapating and leaving it to Johnny Storm. Johnny Storm had also become something of a hero. Then his thoughts strayed to his dad. He had a master plan to put sapiens back on top. Him and Pym. They had bombs to take out mutants. Only the mutant gene would be affected. But Tony and his team of Sapien Death Match fighters had saved the day. Then he had found out. It had all been his dad's plan. Tony was now hero to the mutants. His dad had planted those bombs for him to stop. So he could be the hero. Tears fell down his cheeks as he thought of his dad. Then the car screeched to a halt, "What happened?" "Eh, somebody hopped across us." "What?" But Tony did not need to hear the answer as he saw a green-skinned mutant hop by him with a baby in his hand. Then he saw another mutant in official outfit chasing after him. Tony thought about helping the mutant with the baby. But no. He was a sapien. Anything out of line he did could ruin him. Well maybe he'd help him in another world but not this one.

Rogue darted after the green creature. He was fast and nimble and it was hard to keep him in sight.
The childish wail from his arms helped her to locate them. Rogue was beginning to tire but forced herself to pick up the pace. This person was wanted for something and she had a duty.
She and the mutant were smashing through apartments now, lunging forward and dancing to keep out of each others grasp.
"No matter where you run-" Rogue panted, scowling. "You will be found and your daughter will be taken away from you. Things will get a lot worse for you, if you don't surrender!"
She entered another hole in the wall. Her eyes scanned the room. She didn't see him. Rogue tossed her braid over her shoulder and breathed deeply.
Had he gotten away?

Toad heard her threats but who was she an enforcer that was it he could escape her he was the Toad the most elusive person other then the invisible woman, well he thought so he had forgotten Mystique but he didn't care now. He remembered the homo superior orphanage Toad could leave Samantha there while Rogue threatened him she would be fine, Toad would just come back and get her. He ducked out a window leaving no trace of damage except for th baby vomit on the window sill and floor he ran along the street looking at the orphanages front door he was going to make it.
He just wished he'd stayed at home then everything would have been fine no chase, no vomit and no one would have known of Sam's existence if it wasn't for him. Sure the park seemed like a good idea at the time but now he realized how stupid he had really been all that mattered now was Samantha's safety.

Alicia slipped out of the sewer, her mind creating the map of her current location. She hoisted herself out and stepped onto the streets, quietly mingling with the crowd.
She stopped at the small shop to her left, she could smell the cinnamon from the bakery a few shops away. Alicia knew she shouldn't be on the streets long, and hurried into the store.
She pulled out the few dollars that she had, hoping ti was enough to get the essentials. She crammed the money into her pocket again, and counted her steps to the bread isle. She touched the packages of bread counting until she had reached where the cheapest usually was. She grabbed a loaf and hurried to the check out counter.
She held out the money, "Will this cover it?" The money was taken from her hand.
" Will what cover it?" Came a gruff voice.
Alicia tilted her head down. "The money, is that enough?"
"You didn't give me any money, Sapien. You walk out that door with that bread an I'll call the cops." A cruel tone cut through his calmly stated words.
Alicia glared, "You took my money, I'm taking the bread." She turned towards the door, the gruff voice called again. "You do that, and You'll be arrested so fast that you won't know what hit you."
Alicia flung the bread at where the voice came from and ran out of the shop. Thumping into someone and falling over onto the pavement.
She sat there, taking in what she had sensed of the person. She didn't think she was a mutant, but, she could sense things about people, good, bad, the basics of the person's personality. This person hit her with a strong impression of who they were.

Rogue felt a small woman knock into her. She shoved back with more force than was necessary. The woman, a slim blond sapien fell to the pavement.
"You should watch yourself around the Red Guard, sapien-" Rogue stopped, noticing the blank empty eyes. Tough luck, sugah, being born a sapien and blind.
Rogue sighed. She grabbed the woman's arm and roughly jerked her to her feet. "You should think about getting a seeing eye dog or whatever they're called."

Toad looked back and noticed Rogue had stopped to help a blind girl to her feet this was his chance, he ducked into his apartment building ran up the stairs and barred the door. The sapiens inside were huddled around his t.v they looked up and nodded as they saw it was only him. He placed Sam in her crib and told one of the sapien women who'd been staying here for years to take care of her. He was going out and he probably wouldn't come back in a long time if at all, he walked down the stairs and back out onto the street to face Rogue. He stood at the entrance of the orphanage to create the illusion that he'd dumped Sam inside the building. He waited for her to come and face him he could quite possibly take her on but the whole of Magneto's forces he quite lacked the energy or the man power.
He could have asked the rebels to help but he didn't want to bring them into this it would be the end of the resistance if they brought in the whole elite guard as they did to quell the original up rising. Toad thought of Sam and looked determined to she her once more but now he had to fight or pretend to die so they stopped chasing him once more.

Alicia nodded, "It would be easier if Sapiens had the same help for such things as Mutants."
Alicia regretted it instantly, and pulled her arm free, running down the sidewalk, she bumped into people, and had only the hope of reaching the man hole she had came from earlier. She tripped and fell to the ground.
"The human resistance depends on you Alicia, and you go and make trouble!"Alicia got to her feet again, but found her sense of direction was gone. She didn't know which way to run.

Rogue swore.
Perfect ending to a perfect day. Not only had she put up with her foster-mother's tricks, she'd lost a suspect and a mere blind woman had treated her with disrespect.
Yeah. I so deserve a promotion, She thought sarcastically, straightening her uniform.
She stepped forward, jostling the civilians with little consideration and then she saw him. The green mutant from earlier.
He stood beneath an aging sign that read Magnus Orphanage for Homo Superiors NY. He appeared nervous and his beady little eyes peered around cautiously.
"Gotcha." Rogue muttered and drew her gun. She aimed at his chest and fired.

A large black shape grew out of the pavement and took the bullet with out a sound. A black and blue striped cape wrapped back around the figure.Another fight? I know I shouldn't get involved, but these people are idiots, trying to kill people for even the smallest things... "Don't you know it's not nice to shoot people when they aren't looking, Miss?" Ty mocked, allowing the bullet to fall out of a shadow a few blocks away.
He looked at the woman, her white streak, her uniform, Great, she's a government person, Wonder who I just saved a hole to the chest. then walked towards the sidewalk, ignoring her now, he glanced over at the Green Mutant.

Toad was clinging to the roof of the entrance he had jumped as soon as Rgoue had fired her gun but was surprised when a shadowy figure had taken the bullet . He jumped towards Rogue and booted her in the face this could be painful if his foot connected to her face. He nodded at the man in thanks before turning back to the fight Rogue had started. Toad looked at her "What did I do?" he honestly did not know what he did to prevoke an attack on himself or his his daughter.
